This 8 module course focuses on differentiated instruction and its implications on diverse learners. Participants will be provided with an overview of special education students and English language learners, as well as the effects of culture and socioeconomic status on students. Participants will incorporate these strategies, as well as reading development of an original lesson plan that will foster student achievement. Using research, collaborative and individual activities, and a culminating project, teachers will embark on a thorough study of various topics that are of major concern and interest in the areas of differentiated instruction.
